In Front of SC

Jennifer has been a proud Herndon resident for 10 years and will bring her enthusiasm and commitment to moving Herndon forward as your Council Member.

I’m honored that the citizens of Herndon have selected me to represent them on the Council. I’m eager to work together with experienced Council members Mayor Lisa Merkel, Grace Wolf, Sheila Olem, Dave Kirby and Jasbinder Singh. As first timers, Steven Lee Mitchell and I are fortunate to be part of this dynamic group.

For the past 2 months, I knocked on nearly 2,300 doors in my quest to meet as many voters as possible. The lessons I learned from that experience will stay with me when I join the Council on July 1st. I will continue to listen to your concerns and ideas and I will be collaborative, analytical and open-minded as I make decisions regarding our wonderful Town that is rich in history and opportunity. Thank you for your support and trust in me.

Great article out today from The Connection about the 13 candidates running for Town Council. Attaching link to the print version because it’s more clear and shows all of our pictures (missing from the online version).

Thank you to the Dulles Chamber of Commerce and HCTV for hosting a forum to hear from all 13 candidates for Herndon’s Town Council. Please join us on Wednesday, April 30th at 7:00 in the Council Chambers. More info here.

Jennifer is the featured volunteer for this month’s Fairfax CASA spotlight. Read article here.

Great examples for Herndon to consider as we plan for Metro and the execution of the downtown master plan. Utilize, build and design green spaces to improve storm water management AND get additional benefits for citizens. Read the article “Water and Wellness” to learn more.

A very exciting prospect! One of my greatest area of concern for Herndon is that it remain walkable and retain a small town feel; even as we grow as a unique metro destination. Jennifer will make an awesome walkability advocate!
